The Waste-2-Value chain

The Waste-2-Value chain

The consortium believes it is crucial to cover the entire process from residual/waste product to the use of second generation biodiesel. This supply chain shows how the partners in the consortium work together.

Daka has constructed a plant that converts by-products from slaughterhouses into biodiesel.

Grundfos is building a pilot plant for supercritical conversion of wet biomass to biodiesel.

DTU is responsible for developing new fast phase catalysts which facilitate efficient conversion of residual animal products and wet waste products into second generation biodiesel.

The Danish energy company OK operates at the other end of the supply chain. OK expects to become one of the first energy companies in this country to provide primarily the transport sector with eco-friendly fuel in the form of biodiesel.

Dinex is developing diesel particle filters that are adapted to second generation biodiesel products.

Peugeot is currently road-testing biodiesel in selected vehicles, using the B20 fuel blend, which consists of 20% Daka Biodiesel mixed with ordinary diesel fuel.
